Mattradition: Semla & Sushirulle

Under februari bakade jag semlor två gånger, ena gången med choklad smak och andra gången den vanliga.

Jag fick recept för den lyxiga semlan av en kompis och det har blivit min favorit :9

Vanlig semla med hemmagjord mandelmassa

Receptet tog jag från "Annas kakbok" av Anna Bergenström, 2006. Enkelt och gott!

Jag har börjat göra egen mandelmassa, det blir lite mildare och mer smak av mandel tycker jag :)

Så här försöker jag följa tradition genom året, inte bara svensk tradition utan japansk tradition också!

I Japan finns det en tradition att man ska äta en hel sushirulle den 3 februari, dagen kallas för "Setsubun no hi" (betyder Skiljedagen) eftersom det är dagen som skiljer vinter och vår. Enligt gammal månkalender som Japan tillämpade förut sades det att det är vår från och med 4 februari.

Och den dagen ska man göra vissa saker. Till exempel äta sardiner, äta rostade sojabönor lika många som ens egna ålder, kasta sojabönor för att jaga bort det onda...

Att äta en sushirulle är också en av dessa traditioner. Då ska man sitta åt "Ehou" (betyder Årets lyckohåll) och man får inte prata innan man äter upp hela rullen.

Det sägs att man kommer vara frisk under året, eller att önskan blir sann osv genom att göra det ;)

Innehåller räkor, gurka, crabfish, sallat, avokado och äggrulle♥

Jag skar dem i bitar för att man inte orkar äta upp annars ;p

Men vi tittade åt rätt håll, Ostnordost, årets "Ehou" :)
